One Call Changes It All-What Happened in New York?

It's been about a month now...since we were all racing to the scene. I swear my heart was in my throat when I showed up, and I ran in there blind...it brought back memories...from 9/11...from when I nearly lost Don...

And I really hoped I was finished with bombs...yet some part of me knew that there was always going to be the distinct possibility that some genius would get the idea to scare the entire city and set off a bomb.

These days...all you have to do is say "bomb" and nearly every New Yorker knows what to do. The ones that have a bit of knowledge of that fateful September day, at least. There's a few that don't know or don't remember or do know and yet don't care to remember. It really tears at me to meet those people...that just don't care. God, it hurts.

I was honestly scared. I didn't know what to think and when that bomb went off, I thought for sure I was finished...and that teenage girl. We both got lucky, I few scrapes, bruises and a bit of a scar and possibly a few not-so-severe burns, the girl with just a few scrapes and bruises. I remember seeing Don...he looked so scared...I think I scared the hell out of them when they put me on that stretcher and in to that ambulance. It's all still a bit unclear...but I know he was there that whole ambulance ride. I remember him telling me that I'd be fine and to just not let go of his hand. I, of course, couldn't. Wouldn't. Never would if I had a choice. He's one hell of a friend. Honestly don't know what I'd do without him.

And here we are...about one month after that damn idiot set that bomb off in that building and we still don't know who the hell he is. I'm back at the lab, against doctor's orders but I'm a stubborn pain in the ass like that at the best of times, even the doctor knew that. I'm sure as hell not as strong as I was a few years ago...at least it feels that way. Sid told me different, but I'm not so certain.

But you know...the team's family. I gotta be strong for them. I keep telling them that we'll figure this all out...but it's been a month...the crime rate's up and the shoot-outs are a bit more than we've been able to handle.

I'm not sure how much longer we can keep at this. Who knows if this guy's finished? For all we know...he could be plotting to set off another bomb...

We've gotta find him. We just have to.

But...I'm out of time for this, my therapy basically. Duty calls and the team needs me, I'll be back...I'm almost certain. Doing this is about the only thing besides the team that's kept me sane for this past month.

I don't ever wanna experience that again. That was probably the scariest event I've ever been a part of

Yeah, I scared the hell out of myself once...and that was already one time too many.

I do admit, rushing in there blind without the bomb squad, or any back-up whatsoever for that matter, was my mistake...a big one.

Yeah...although taking that same chance has nearly gotten me killed..but hey!
